The project brief was to design a book cover for the book, 'A Time to Kill' written by John Grisham. The book is a legal thriller, where in events related racism, crime and legal matters are taking place . The book is set in 1980s and most of the events in the book happen in a courtroom. I was aligned to use a serif font for this design .The serif font I used has sharp, pointed serifs to indicate the intensity of the crime and the subject of racism. To show the debatable nature of the crimes happening in the book, I have used the colors black and white to mark the contrast, while also marking that criminal activity with a hint of red slashing through 'Time'.
